JEROMESVILLE, Ohio -- Authorities in Ohio say a man survived crashing his car into a house but was killed walking away from the accident when he was struck by a pickup truck.
The State Highway Patrol says 38-year-old Michael Bigley of Jeromesville ran his car off a road Monday morning and into a living room in the north-central Ohio community.
The crash awakened a man sleeping upstairs in the house. Kyle Dalton says he went outside and was calling 911 as he saw Bigley walking away.
Troopers say Bigley was struck minutes later by the pickup while walking in a road.
Highway Patrol Lt. Michael Combs says there was no preliminary indication that Bigley had been drinking, and it's unclear if he was hurt in the initial crash. Autopsy and test results are pending.
