CINCINNATI, Ohio -- The father of a Cincinnati-area woman who authorities say was killed and dismembered says the crime was cruel to her parents and her children. Bernie Broering said Tuesday that parts of his daughter's body have yet to be recovered. Broering says his daughter, Kristan Strutz, and her husband, John Strutz, were having marital problems.
Thirty-year-old John Strutz has been accused of killing his wife, cutting up her body with a saw and hiding her remains before reporting her missing. Strutz's attorney says his client denies the charges. Karen Broering, the victim's mother, says that as soon as Strutz told the family his wife was missing, she knew her daughter was dead.
