Police Dept. IDs Decomposing Body Found In Bin

Police release the identity of a man whose decomposing body was found in a vehicle late last month.

REYNOLDSBURG -- Police released the identity of a man whose decomposing body was found in a vehicle late last month.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.

The victim was 36-year-old Amondo Casillas Castanedo, according to authorities.

Castanedo is from Mexico and was an illegal immigrant.

He also is known as Jose Huerta and Pepe.

Officers were called to the area of 1200 Rosehill Rd. at about 2:50 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, on reports of a suspicious vehicle.

Officers found Castanedo’s decomposing body inside of a bin of sorts.

The body was released to the Franklin County coroner’s office and later was indentified as a 36-year-old Hispanic male.

Police did not release his name immediately while authorities notified next of kin.

Police continued to investigate.
