COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Columbus police identified the person who was fatally shot in an auto-parts store parking lot Thursday morning.

It happened shortly before 4 a.m. when a fight broke out inside an "after-hours" party house at 2596 Cleveland Ave., just south of Westerville Road.
Witnesses told NBC 4 that a two men got into an argument that turned into a fight.
Security from inside the party house kicked out the parties.
Police said there was a crowd of 20 to 30 people in the parking lot of the Advance Auto Parts store located directly across the street at 2585 Cleveland Avenue.
While several bystanders stood in the parking lot, an unknown suspect fired several rounds from a handgun, a CPD report said.
Shawntay L. Allen was struck by the gunfire. He died at the scene at 4:08 a.m.
Officers found Allen fatally shot in the front seat of an SUV, according to authorities.
Medics pronounced Allen dead at 4:08 a.m.
Neighbors told NBC 4 the party house has been a spot where the police have been called to numerous times due to the fights and late night disturbances.
Detectives continued to investigate.
