GERMAN VILLAGE -- Authorities evacuated a local grocery store Friday after a bomb threat.

Columbus fire’s bomb squad was called to the Giant Eagle on East Whittier Street at about 11 a.m.
CFD’s Battalion Chief David Whiting said a note with a bomb threat was found in the bathroom and authorities were called.
The bomb squad evacuated shoppers and swept the store.
Columbus fire did not find a bomb or other suspicious device on the store's property.
Columbus fire cleared the scene and allowed shoppers to reenter before 12:15 p.m.
