Ohio Workers End Lawsuit Over $207M Lottery

»  Comments | Post a Comment

TROY, Ohio -- Four employees who sued their co-workers in western Ohio for a share of a $207 million Mega Million lottery jackpot in December have dropped their lawsuit.

A notice dismissing the lawsuit was filed Monday in Miami County Common Pleas Court in Troy by lawyers representing the four.

Fourteen city of Piqua employees and one relative of a city worker have claimed their prize from the drawing.

The lawsuit was filed by four workers who were not at work to throw a dollar into the lottery pool. They have said they should get $20 million because they were comfortable the members of the pool regularly covered for each other.

With the dismissal, the four employees retain the right to refile the claim within one year. The lawsuit was scheduled to go to trial next month.
