COLUMBUS, Ohio -- CPD arrested a most-wanted fugitive after a Tuesday night crime spree wherein he allegedly committed an armed robbery, fired a weapon at officers and carjacked his female victim.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.

CPD was called to a reported armed robbery in the 5500 block of Cleveland Avenue at about 7:40 p.m. Tuesday.

Police said the suspect, who was later identified as 20-year-old fugitive Frankie D. Mosley, fled in his victim’s vehicle.

CPD identified the victim as 19-year-old Shawntai Lewis.

Authorities pursued Mosley south on Cleveland Avenue.

Mosley fired shots at several officers and deputies, a police report said.

“We got four or five jurisdictions involved, and we are very fortunate that no public citizens or bystanders were struck by this individual's bullets,” FOP President Jim Gilbert said.

Both CPD and Franklin County sheriff’s cruiser were struck by bullets. No one, including a K-9 officer, was hit by the bullets.

“This individual was firing at officers. Anybody could have been struck: citizens or officers, a county deputy, a K-9 officer,” Gilbert said.

No officers were injured by gunfire, but police said Mosley bit one officer.

Mosley crashed the vehicle and injured a citizen, police said.

Two Fridays ago, Mosley was identified as a suspect in an aggravated robbery that happened at about 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4.
