COLUMBUS, Ohio -- All lanes of northbound state Route 315 are open Saturday morning -- just in time for the Ohio State game against Illinois.
Crews wrapped up construction early on the project.
OSU police said getting home from football games will be easier and faster now that the northbound ramp to S.R. 315 from Lane Avenue is open.
Residents who live near the construction project have faced bumper to bumper traffic on their streets. They say they are relieved the project is done for now.
"Being an OSU student it's been kind of a pain to class because everyone's using Kenny Road instead of 315," said Charlie Reissig.
Within a week, the barriers along the southbound lane of S.R. 315 will be taken down and the construction will be done for this year. Construction on the southbound lanes of S.R. 315 will start next summer.
