A citizen alert has been sent out for residents of Clintonville after numerous garage break-ins.

CLINTONVILLE, Ohio -- A citizen alert has been issued for residents of Clintonville after numerous garage break-ins since April.

According to Columbus police, 47 garages have been broken into within the following boundaries: North Broadway, Olentangy River Road, Arcadia and Silver Drive.

Police said criminals force open a window or door and steal anything and everything from tools to lawn mowers, stereo equipment to golf bags, jewelry and cash.
