Eligible AEP customers receive a utility assistance grant applied directly to their AEP Ohio bill to help maintain or restore basic electric service.
The best way to start seeking help is by calling AEP Ohio. Call the number on your electric bill.
AEP Ohio will provide you with information on a number of different assistance programs that are available to help low-income utility customers.

Customers also can help fund the program by adding an extra dollar to their monthly AEP bill or at http://www.dollarenergyfund.org.
