GAHANNA, Ohio - A couple in Ohio has temporarily traded their handicapped accessible home with a neighbor who has been unable to walk since falling on a golf course last month.
Bill and Kim Reynolds say they realized they had just what Wes Orr needed. The Reynolds' ranch style home in the Columbus suburb of Gahanna used to be occupied by a disabled resident and has a walk-in shower and a layout roomy enough for Orr's wheelchair.
Phone numbers were rerouted, and the Reynolds, who are both 48, and 66-year-old Orr and his wife, Bobbi, made the two-way move on Sept. 19. That was the day Wes Orr was released from a rehabilitation center.
He tore the tendons from both kneecaps when he took his spill. His wife says his recovery could take months.
