DELAWARE, Ohio – A manufacturing facility in Delaware became a fire scene and employees were evacuated late Monday night.

Delaware fire crews and mutual aid were called to Midwest Acoust-A-Fiber on a report of a fire at about 10:38 p.m. The business is located at 759 Pittsburgh Dr.
Employees were removing waste from a building when they found the fire in the dumpster area. They called 911 and began to fight the fire with portable fire extinguishers. The fire
Upon arrival to the scene, crews found several pallets and plastic crates burning outside the building.
Strong winds Monday night helped fuel the flames, but fire personnel were able to put the fire out before it spread inside the building.
Firefighters had the fire under control in 30 minutes but remained on the scene for several more hours.
No one was injured in the incident.
The cause of the fire and the damage estimate both remained under investigation.
