DELAWARE COUNTY, Ohio -- Detectives arrest two suspects in a Lewis Center burglary and are investigating other local thefts and burglaries in an effort to possibly connect the suspects.
NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS from the Delaware County sheriff's office.
A homeowner witnessed two burglary suspects fleeing his Lewis Center garage shortly after 10 p.m. Monday, Aug. 16.
The suspects stole a government official's badge and ID during the burglary, deputies said.
The homeowner provided deputies with suspect and vehicle descriptions (gold Chevy Blazer).
Detectives located the suspect vehicle Wednesday, Aug. 18.
Detectives approached the suspects and found they were in possession of property stolen from the garage, according authorities.
Edward T. Miller, 27, and 22-year-old Kyle I. Miller were taken into custody. The suspects are not related.
Edward was charged with burglary, and Kyle was charged with complicity to burglary.
Detectives said they believe the suspects also were responsible for a Wednesday, July 28, vehicle break-in at the Cheshire boat ramp, 2028 Africa Rd.
A wallet was stolen during the break-in, and a credit card that was in the stolen wallet was used at Lewis Center businesses a short time later, Sheriff Walter L. Davis III said.
There is a strong possibility the suspects were involved in additional crimes in neighboring jurisdictions, Davis said.
Delaware detectives continued to talk with other law-enforcement agencies about additional, related Central Ohio burglaries and thefts.
