FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ohio -- This week’s Crime of the Week is an aggravated robbery in the New Albany area.
On Aug. 19 a Subway restaurant in the 9700 block of Johnstown Road was robbed at gunpoint.
A female suspect entered the restaurant from the rear entrance around 8:45 a.m.
She ordered a sandwich and took a drink from the cooler.
When it came time to pay, she pulled a long barreled revolver from her purse and demanded money from the employee.
The employee gave the suspect the money, which the suspect then put into her purse.
She had the employee go to the back of the restaurant and told him to get into the freezer.
The suspect then fled the restaurant through the rear door.
Police describe the suspect as a female white in her forties who is between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 8 inches. She has an average to skinny build, long matted, frizzy, jet black hair.
She was last seen wearing dark colored jeans with a black shirt, carrying a dark colored purse on her right shoulder.
The right side of her face appeared to be paralyzed as if from a stroke.
She has a large nose that had a flat tip and a much defined chin.
The suspect has an involuntary twitch and walked hunched over.
Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2,000.00 for any information received by Sept. 8 in regards to this crime.
