WHEELING, W.Va. -- A weekend accident on Interstate 70 that police blame on road rage has claimed a third victim.
Twenty-year-old Steven Carpenter of Toronto, Ohio, died late Monday at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
The crash near Wheeling Saturday morning also killed 29-year-old Justin Wright, also of Toronto, Ohio, and 26-year-old Brittney Lynn Kusic of Weirton. Another person was injured.
The man who State Police say caused the accident -- 22-year-old David Hancher-Palmer of Rayland, Ohio -- is in the Northern Regional Jail.
He's charged with four counts of malicious assault, leaving the scene of an accident and driving with a suspended license.
Sgt. Scott Adams said Hancher-Palmer rammed Wright's truck, forcing it into the path of a tractor-trailer.
