Winter Storm Watch for now. Will be upgraded to a Warning tonight.
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A winter storm is headed for Central Ohio, and Storm Team 4's Jym Ganahl is calling for up to 6 inches of snow before Saturday at noon.
Ganahl is calling for two hours of a frozen mix for the morning rush hour on Friday, adding that he expects roads to improve during the day, with a high temperature of 35 degrees and a snow/rain mix up to Interstate 70.
The change back to accumulating snow will occur around evening rush hour, and 4 to 6 inches of snow will fall before noon Saturday.

FYI, I have two computer models predicting 6 inches for Columbus and a third at 5.7 inches in town – nice to have consistency for once.
Airmass above us is 1 degree cooler than yesterday, and that does not seem like much, but the trend to colder up there and also that 1 degree drop puts us closer to 30 and that makes a difference from rain to snow earlier.
Another winter storm – all snow this time – will be in here on Tuesday.
Next week will be cold with highs in the 20s.
Enjoy.
Nice thing is that the bulk of road trouble will be into Saturday morning when fewer people need to be on the road.
