CLEVELAND -- An Ohio witness says her brother-in-law acted strange and displayed a bottle of calcium capsules after his wife was poisoned with cyanide and died in a car crash.
Deanna DiPuccio testified Tuesday at the Cleveland trial of Dr. Yazeed Essa. He's charged with killing his wife, Rosemarie, by lacing the capsules with cyanide.
DiPuccio says Essa held up the bottle and said, "This is what Rosie took." The witness says she found that weird and it gave her chills.
Under cross-examination, the defense tried to highlight discrepancies involving the bottle's description. The defense has suggested a mistress of the doctor may be the killer.
In testimony Monday, the suspect's brother reversed his earlier testimony and says his brother admitted to the killing.
