COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Police executing a search warrant at a Chillicothe home find much more than they expected -- from a neighboring residence.
Chillicothe police executed a search warrant at 162 N. Poplar St. at about 4 p.m. Monday. As a result of the search, a large amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia was confiscated.
While executing the search, officers smelled the odor of marijuana from a neighboring residence at 150 N. Poplar St.
The resident was contacted and consent was given to search the home.
Marijuana was found during the search -- at which time a search warrant was obtained to search the rest of the residence.
Confiscated, as a result, was crack cocaine, powder cocaine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and cash.
Charges in both search warrants are pending investigation and chemical analysis.
