LAS VEGAS
A 51-year-old Ohio man is embracing the spirit of Valentine's Day and hoping to get more hugs in the next 24 hours
than anyone in the world.
He'll be seeking squeezes outside the Paris Las Vegas hotel-casino on the Las Vegas Strip from Friday at 6 p.m. until
Saturday at 6 p.m.
Guinness World Records says Jeff Ondash of Canfield, Ohio, already holds the record for most hugs in one hour, with 1,205. That record was set in May 2008 in Boardman, Ohio.
Now Ondash says he's going for the 24-hour record to raise money for the American Heart Association during American Heart Month.
Guinness says the current record of 5,000 hugs in one day was set last year by Siobhan O'Connor in Dublin, Ireland.
