Crews removed tractor-trailers from the medians on I-71 southbound between state Route 61 and U.S. Route 36.

I-71 southbound between state Route 61 and U.S. 36/37 did not shutdown during cleanup, but it was slow-going as tow trucks removed the damaged vehicles.
ODOT snow plows from both Delaware and Morrow counties plowed and salted both lanes of I-71 southbound to make sure all lanes are safe and passable.
Nearly 30 miles of the roadway was closed between Morrow and Delaware counties Monday because of crashes, including jackknifed semis and overturned vehicles.
I-71 southbound was closed for approximately seven hours. I-71 northbound remained open.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol continued to investigate the crashes, which were estimated to involve more than 50 vehicles.
Minor injuries were reported, with one person transported to a local hospital.
