COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Columbus police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide Thursday morning after a couple is found fatally shot in a North Side home.
NBC 4's Tom Brockman reported the FAST FACTS from Columbus police.
Officers were called to a home on the 1900 block of Denise Drive on a report of a disturbance. An anonymous caller made the 911 call shortly after midnight.
Arriving officers found the doors unlocked and two people with fatal gunshot wounds to their upper bodies in a bedroom.
Detectives said 40-year-old William Moseley III fatally shot his 39-year-old wife, Shawna Moseley, before fatally shooting himself.
Columbus fire responded to the scene and pronounced William and Shawna dead on the scene at 1:19 a.m.
Two boys, ages 3 years and 9 years, were in the home at the time of the fatal shooting. The boys were not injured during the incident and are with family.
CPD Sgt. Dana Norman said there wasn't any indication there was a fight or a struggle in the home.
CPD could not confirm possible previous runs to the home immediately.
William's motive remained unclear.
Next-door neighbor Paul Wallang told NBC 4 it's hard to believe his neighbor is accused of killing his wife before taking his own life.
"Always smiling. Whenever I drove by, he'd wave, and you could not think such a thing would happen," Wallang said.
Wallang said his 11-year-old son played at the Moseley home often.
"They looked like an ordinary couple. No problems that I knew of. Of course, people kind of have their private lives. You don't know," Wallang said.

Shawna's death was the city's 13th homicide of 2010.
