COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A man remains in critical condition Friday after he was shot while delivering pizzas, and Columbus police are looking for two suspects.
NBC 4's Tom Brockman reported with the FAST FACTS from local authorities.
The shooting happened at about 11 p.m. Thursday in front of a home on the 1200 block of Indianola Avenue on the city's North Side.
The man, who is in his 20s, was shot in the head when he was stopping at a home to make a pizza delivery. He still was in his vehicle when he was shot, police said.
The vehicle, with the victim in it, traveled off the road and hit a tree.
He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
Detectives continued to investigate whether the original delivery call was a setup -- whether the victim was called to the area with intent to harm him.
"That is something we’re investigating at this time -- to see if it was a true delivery or if it was a call that was just called in to bring the driver into the area for the shooting," CPD Sgt. Steve Livingston said.
The motive remained unclear currently.
Police said it didn't appear the victim was robbed.
Officers continued to search for two male suspects while detectives continued to investigate.
Additional information was not immediately available.
