NEWARK, Ohio -- Licking County Crime Stoppers has offered up to a $1,000 reward to anyone who has information that will help law enforcement with the investigation of two Newark crimes involving stolen firearms.

According to the Newark police department, between Monday, Jan. 11, through Friday, Jan. 16, someone entered a home on West Shields Street and stole several items, including a 12-gauge shotgun, a .22-caliber rifle, a .22-caliber handgun and a pearl necklace.
Someone entered a home in the 100 block of Elmwood Avenue Friday, Jan. 22, and stole a highpoint C-9 9mm handgun.
Anyone with information was asked to call the Licking County Crime Stoppers at 740-349-6888 or 888-488-9058. A special coding system protects the identity of the caller but allows for the reward to be issued at a later time.
