COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A 17-year-old girl remains in critical condition Wednesday morning after police said she was shot after an argument.

Columbus police responded to 1571 Burlington Ave. at about 7:16 p.m. Tuesday on a report of shots fired. That's on the city's East Side.
Officers found a 17-year-old female victim shot and unresponsive. She was transported to Grant Medical Center in critical condition.
A verbal altercation took place between individuals at the residence, according to Columbus police.
The victim and a witness were walking away from the home when police said 19-year-old Demonte Kendrick allegedly shot the victim.
A warrant has been issued for Kendrick's arrest. He will be charged with felonious assault, according to a police report.
CPD has not identified the juvenile victim, and additional information was not available immediately.
