COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Columbus police are looking for a vehicle with front-end damage after an early morning smash-and-grab burglary on the city's North Side.
NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS from Columbus police.
A burglary alarm alerted police to a break-in at the DeWALT retail store, 1948 Schrock Rd., around 5:15 a.m. Thursday.
Arriving officers said a vehicle drove through the glass windows at the front of the tool store and then fled the scene.
Columbus police couldn't confirm currently what was stolen and the total value.
CPD gave NBC 4 an updated vehicle description at 10:45 a.m.
Officers are looking for a maroon Chevy S10 pickup truck with a broken front headlight.
The vehicle was reported stolen earlier Thursday, and officers spoke with the owner who made the report late Thursday morning.
The suspect vehicle originally was described as a burgundy Honda Civic or Chevy Cavalier.
Anyone with information or who sees a vehicle matching the description was asked to call CPD at 614-645-4545 or Central Ohio Crime Stoppers at 614-645-TIPS (8477).
