MARYSVILLE, Ohio – A 53-year-old man is dead after an industrial accident at The Scotts Company in Marysville Thursday.

The Marysville Police and Fire Departments responded to a report of an injured person at The Scotts Company in Marysville around 5:43 p.m.
A 53-year-old male employee was found unresponsive in the east manufacturing plant located at 14101 Industrial Parkway. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to police, the man was working around a freight elevator and was found by other employees pinned underneath it. He had been working alone in the area.
The incident remains under investigation by Marysville Police, the Union County Coroner’s Office and The Scott’s Company officials.
