CENTRAL OHIO -- A cold, windy start to 2010.
Temperatures will be well below normal this coming week (by about 10 to 15 degrees), and the wind chills will be ugly, especially overnight and early in the morning.
Some scattered flurries and snow showers are possible almost every day this coming week.

SATURDAY NIGHT: mostly cloudy, cold, windy, low 10, wind chills -5 to -10.
SUNDAY: mostly cloudy and cold, still windy, high 19.
MONDAY: mostly cloudy, sctd. snow showers in the evening, high 25.
TUESDAY: scattered flurries and snow showers early in the morning, then mostly cloudy, high 26.

Happy New Year! 2010 is starting out really cold! Highs will be well below average for the next few days.
The 30-year average temps for the beginning of January hover around 37. We won't make it out of the 20s this week, and overnight lows will be in the teens.
To add insult to injury, the winds will be fairly strong for the next few days. That's going to push wind chills below zero during the overnight and early-morning hours. Make sure you're protected from the wind as you step out the door!
A huge low-pressure center is kind of stuck along the east coast. And it's not going anywhere for at least a few days. Thankfully, we're on the far-western edge of the thing. New England will get the worst of it.
