Snow, wind and cold continue – get used to it.
Another inch will fall tonight.
County has 1 inch on the ground at NBC 4 to over 4 inches up by Hoover Reservoir.
Highs 20-25 and lows 10-15 for a few days.
Thursday will see several inches of snow, followed by even colder and windier weather for the rest of the week.
Highs 15-20 and lows 0-5 with sub zero wind chills return by Friday.
Northern Minnesota has been near 40 below zero for 3 nights in a row so far.
This is the area that NWS was going for the best chance of a warm winter based on their El Nino, but they disregarded other factors – like no sunspots, deep snow cover, and low jet stream.
They have us in a normal temps, and dry month for the January forecast like they did last month and they will again be wrong for us.
I expect a colder-than-normal month, with lots more snow than normal for the month.
