COLUMBUS, Ohio – Police released surveillance video to aid an investigation after police said an armed suspect attempted to rob a local BP gas station.
The robbery attempt occurred at the BP located in the 900 block of Morse Road around 9:45 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 2.
According to Columbus police, the suspect approached the gas station clerk and demanded money from the register. The male suspect showed a knife and threatened to cut the clerk.
The clerk refused to comply, and the suspect left the gas station a short time later.
The suspect is described as a white male in his late 30s. He is 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds. He had a dark goatee and was wearing all black at the time of the robbery.
