POWELL, Ohio -- Two days after a Powell area business reported a burglary, officials arrested three men and recovered some of the stolen property.
On January 3, the owner of T. Carmichael Inc. reported that his business, located at 3129 Home Road, had been ransacked and burglarized.
Two computers and two trucks with snow plows attached had been stolen.
The Delaware County Sheriff's Office collected evidence at the scene and said that the suspects posted the stolen snow plows on Craig's List.
36-year-old David A. Brown, 34-year-old Jessie J. Harden and 28-year-old Andrew J. Minney were arrested in connection with the theft.
"We will not tolerate criminals preying on businesses in our community," said Delaware County Sheriff Walter L. Davis III. "I am pleased that we got the plows back so quickly. It's the result of strong detective work. Still, the job is not done. We will stay on the case until we recover the trucks and computers as well."
The three men arrested face charges of receiving stolen property. More charges are expected to be filed.
Central Ohio Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest of additional suspects and the recovery of additional property.
The missing trucks are a taupe 1998 GMC 2500, Ohio license plate PGA 6763 and a white, 1990 Chevy truck, Ohio license plate PDJ 1823.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to call the Delaware County Sheriff's Office at 740-833-2800 or Central Ohio Crime Stoppers at 614-461-TIPS.
