FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ohio -- Authorities continued to investigate after masked and armed suspects invaded three homes Sunday night. The suspects also attempted to invade two other Franklin County homes.

NBC 4's Tom Brockman reported with the FAST FACTS from local authorities.

Two armed suspects knocked on the door at 2661 Perdue Avenue in Mifflin Township at about 5:30 p.m. Sunday. When the resident opened the door, the suspects made demands and stole items, including cash and jewelry.

Suspects invaded a home at 6200 Windrush Lane, in Blacklick, and locked residents in a bathroom while they ransacked the home. That was at about 10 p.m.

Investigators said the suspects fired a shot during this incident but no one was injured.

Next, there was an attempted home invasion at nearby 1309 Steamboat Springs Circle in Blacklick. The suspects weren't able to make entry into the home.

Two armed suspects invaded a home at 5150 Blair Ave. in Groveport at about 11:15 p.m.

NBC 4 spoke with victims Gary and Sandy Schaile Monday.

When Gary woke up around 11:30 p.m., he said he was face-to-face with a masked man.

"The guy was standing right there with a pistol right down on me, Gary said.

"He used explicit language. He said, 'I know you got money. I want your money, and I want your wallet.' He said, 'I'll kill you,' " Gary said.

Gary gave the suspect his wallet and then he and Sandy were forced into their bathroom.

The suspects ransacked their home and stole a big-screen TV, cash and the victims' vehicle.

The stolen vehicle later was found in the middle of the street at 6167 Bristol Way. The vehicle had crashed into a parked car.

Authorities said when the suspects attempted to target a home on the 7000 block of Crescent Boat Lane on the city's Southwest Side, residents chased them away. The time of this incident was not immediately available.

Franklin County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Steve Martin told NBC 4 that investigators currently think three of the incidents are connected but didn't indicate which ones.

Madison Township police said the department's investigators believe the Groveport incident also is connected.

Anyone with information was asked to call the Franklin County sheriff's office at 614-462-6113.
