COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A portion of Cleveland Avenue reopened early Monday morning after a water-main break Sunday night.

Authorities reopened a portion of Cleveland Avenue to traffic before 6:30 a.m. Monday.
One northbound lane remained closed early Monday.
The closure was between Morse Road and Belcher Drive.
The city of Columbus diverted traffic in the 4300 block of Cleveland Avenue Sunday night after a substantial water line break required repair.
The water bubbling up through the street was reported at about 8:30 p.m. Sunday evening, and when utilities department officials arrived to evaluate it, they decided to divert traffic.
The cold weather has precipitated numerous water line breaks as the ground alternatively freezes and warms.
