ZANESVILLE, Ohio -- The 19-year-old who allegedly shot a Zanesville officer and his K-9 partner will stand trial on 12 felony counts.

Dominick Conley went before Muskingum County Common Pleas Judge Mark Fleegle for a hearing Thursday and was declared competent to stand trial.
Muskingum County Assistant Prosecutor Bob Smith said Dominic Conley will stand trial on the 12 felony counts.
He was indicted on one count of felonious assault on a peace officer with firearm specification, one count of felonious assault on a police dog with firearm specification, two counts of kidnapping with firearm specification, one count of aggravated burglary with firearm specification, six counts of abduction with firearm specification and one count of tampering with evidence.
Conley faces as many as 105 years in prison if convicted.
Zanesville officer Michael Schiele, 29, confronted Conley on the 500 block of Indiana Street at about 8:15 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 23, according to Zanesville police.
Conley had outstanding warrants for previous misdemeanor charges.
Schiele attempted to take Conley into custody, and a struggle began, police said.
The K-9 officer, Bosco, chased Conley as he allegedly tried to flee the scene.
Police said the suspect fired two shots; both shots hit Bosco.
Police said the suspect also fired shots at Schiele; the officer was hit once.
Schiele suffered one gunshot wound to the left-leg area.
He was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital but later was transferred Grant Medical Center.
Schiele was treated and released.
Bosco was transported to Brandywine Hospital for Pets and later transported by helicopter to Ohio State University Veterinary Hospital.
Bosco continues to attend physical therapy sessions and continues to make progress.
