GROVE CITY, Ohio -- Deputies continued to investigate after a man was fatally shot late Monday morning.

The Franklin County sheriff's office responded to the 100 block of Red Oak Drive West on reports of a shooting at about 11:15 a.m.
Authorities found a male victim in his 30s with a gunshot wound to the chest.
The victim was transported to Doctor's West Hospital on the city's West Side.
The victim died at the hospital before 2:30 p.m.
On-scene detectives said the shooting could have been accidental.
A neighbor told NBC 4 the man's wife was cleaning the house and spilled a liquid of some sort near a firearm. She went to cleanup the liquid around the firearm and the firearm fired a shot that struck the man in the chest. The wife was the person who called 911. Two of their adult sons were home at the time of the incident, and one is a military police officer.
Authorities continued to investigate.
