COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Police continue to search for two suspects after a man is shot during an attempted robbery on the city's North Side early Tuesday.

NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.

Columbus police told NBC 4 two armed men approached three people behind a gas station on Maple Canyon Avenue near state Route 161 around 1:30 a.m. this morning.

The men ordered the victims to the ground and demanded money, CPD said.

A witness said one man refused to get on the ground or hand over money, and one of the suspects fired a shot, according to police.

The victim was hit in the leg and taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Police continued the search for the two suspects.
