COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A local man was shot three times during an attempted robbery overnight Wednesday.

Columbus police was called to the area of North Broadway Street on the city's North Side overnight on reports of a shooting.
Police said two male suspects tried to rob the victim as he was getting into his SUV.
One of the suspects fired six shots when the victim resisted, police said.
The victim was struck three times.
He was transported to OSU Medical Center Main with nonlife-threatening injuries.
Columbus police continued to investigate.
