COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A reward is being offered for information in connection with a mobile home fire in London this month.
The fire was reported at a mobile home at 129 Maple Way within the Green Meadows Mobile Home Park in Madison County at about 7:47 p.m. on January 12.
The fire was ruled arson after investigators ruled out all accidental causes and found evidence of the crime of arson. No one was injured in the blaze.
Investigators are seeking any information about the fire or the circumstances leading up to the fire.
The occupants of the mobile home received a summons from the Madison County Sheriff's Office at 4:30 p.m. on the same date to vacate the home. A little more than three hours later the Central Township Fire Department received reports of a working structure fire at that address.
"We believe that someone has more information about this fire and hope they come forward to help us bring this case to a successful conclusion," said Madison County Sheriff James Sabin.
"In the past, the community has played an important role in helping investigators find persons responsible for intentionally set fires," said Interim State Fire Marshal Donald C. Cooper. "We can now use this valuable help again."
A Blue Ribbon Arson Reward has been posted at the property. The Blue Ribbon Arson Committee is offering up to a $5,000 reward for information leading to the identification of the person or persons responsible for the fires.
Anyone with information is asked to call the State Fire Marshal's Fire & Explosion Investigation Bureau at 1-800-589-2728 or the Madison County Sheriff’s Office at 740-852-1212.
