DELAWARE, Ohio -- Authorities arrested a suspect in connection with a Friday breaking and entering at a Delaware landscaping business.
NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS.
Delaware County law enforcement officials say they have arrested a suspect they believe was responsible for taking $22,000 worth of landscaping equipment, including a pickup truck with an attached snow plow and salt spreader.
The equipment was discovered missing Friday afternoon from CGM Scapes in Delaware.
In addition to the theft of property, the illegal entry caused damage.
Sheriff Walter Davis said in a press release Sunday the truck was found in a driveway on state Route 257 with the business name painted out and the license plates changed.
Starting from that location, searches were made at other spots, and all the missing property was found.
Authorities charged Justin Oliver, 21, with theft of a motor vehicle, breaking and entering and vandalism.
It was the second case of snow-removal equipment being stolen from a Delaware County business in January.
Authorities said suspects stole two trucks and two snow plows from T. Carmichael Inc. in Powell Sunday, Jan. 3.
The sheriff’s office made three arrests and returned all the missing equipment to the business within five days.
Investigators said they do not believe the cases were connected.
