COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Officers made an arrest on the West Side after a man with federal warrants allegedly fled a traffic stop Wednesday afternoon.
NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS from Columbus police.
Columbus police attempted to stop a vehicle on West Broad Street, near Georgesville Road, when police said the driver fled the stop, going about 80 to 90 mph.
Officers determined the suspect had federal warrants out for his arrest on aggravated robbery charges.
Officers didn't pursue the suspect but allowed the police chopper to follow him the air.
The vehicle lost both tires, and the suspect continued to drive it for a couple of miles before bailing out of it.
He was apprehended in the area of Navigator Drive and Lindbergh Boulevard.
Police said the suspect had crack cocaine on his person during his arrest. The amount was unknown.
