COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Local authorities track a suspect to an apartment and make an arrest Wednesday morning after the suspect allegedly stole merchandise from a local department store.
NBC 4's Tom Brockman reported with the FAST FACTS.
The incident began when the suspect allegedly took merchandise from a Reynoldsburg Walmart in the Taylor Square Shopping Center at about 3 a.m. Wednesday.
Reynoldsburg police was called to the scene.
The suspect had other warrants out for his arrest, police said.
Officers tracked the suspect back to an apartment at 4575 Mandeville Ct.
The suspect didn't respond to police and didn't surrender.
Reynoldsburg police called CPD and asked for SWAT assistance.
SWAT set off an apparent concussion grenade and made entry. A concussion grenade is nonlethal. Its pressure wave is meant to be strong enough to temporarily stun or incapacitate humans.
The suspect was taken into police custody without incident.
No more immediate information was available.
