DUBLIN, Ohio – Brian Butler, with Dublin Cleaners, says what began as a family idea to amuse the community quickly became a national hit.
Butler’s parents, along with many other American Idol viewers throughout the country, enjoyed 62-year-old General Larry Platt’s performance of ‘Pants on The Ground’ for his now infamous Idol audition. They decided to tweak it a bit and create a slogan for their business' sign—Dublin Cleaners.
The sign reads: ‘Pants on the ground? Pants on the ground? We clean & hem ‘em, pants off the ground’.
The sign was a hit with the Dublin community and through twitter, Facebook and other social mediums, quickly became a buzz story. Butler even appeared live on a national 24-hour news channel Saturday morning to discuss the sign and its hype.
