COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A Columbus man was placed behind bars Wednesday for his alleged role in an Oct. 2009 stabbing death.

Columbus police arrested 32-year-old Domenick D. Taylor in connection with the fatal stabbing of 57-year-old James Council Jr.
Columbus police were called to 1040 King Highland Dr. S. on an unknown trouble call at about 4:51 a.m. Friday, Oct. 23, 2009.
Officers found Council fatally stabbed in an apartment building hallway. Residents said Council lived at the complex.
Council had multiple stab wounds to his upper body, police said.
He was pronounced dead at the North Side scene.
Columbus police arrested Taylor at an apartment on Bond Avenue Wednesday.
He was charged with murder and tampering with evidence. CPD said Taylor is a habitual violent offender.
Council's murder was the city’s 70th homicide of 2009.
