A traffic stop on U.S. 23 just south of Chillicothe Saturday night led to four arrests and the seizure of OxyContin.
A release from the Ohio State Patrol Post in Chillicothe indicates that a traffic stop was conducted shortly before 9 p.m. Friday. Investigators said criminal indicators were present and as a result, a drug-sniffing K-9 was called to the vehicle and indicated there were drugs in the car.
A search revealed 182 OxyContin pills with a street value authorities put at $10,520.
Arrested were Ashley Eads, 26, Matthew Marcus, 19, and Carey Martinez, 38, of Scott Depot, W. Va.
Perez Reed, 24, of Detroit, was also in the car. He and the others were taken into custody and charged with possession and trafficking of a schedule II drug, a second degree felony.
