MARION, Ohio – Marion authorities say Operation Safe Streets was a successful effort that resulted in a drug and weapons seizure, the recovery of a missing child and warrant arrests.

Operation Safe Streets, a multi-agency police saturation effort involving the Marion post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the Marion police and the Marion County adult probation department concluded early Wednesday morning with success.
The effort resulted in a significant drug and weapons seizure, the recovery of a missing juvenile from Kentucky and several warrant arrests.
The officers involved in the effort also assisted in locating an elderly female with medical problems on the west side of Marion.
In another incident, a male suspect was arrested for OVI after allegedly operating a vehicle while under the influence of prescription pills.
The suspect had his 4-year-old child in the vehicle at the time of the stop.
