A statewide missing persons alert is canceled after a Columbus man calls his family to let them know he's OK.
NBC 4 reported with the FAST FACTS from the Statewide Emergency Alert Program.
William Mead, 75, contacted his family Thursday and told them he went out of town and is safe.
Authorities were concerned because Mead takes heart medication and it is out of character for him to travel.
