Shots were fired at police and by police early Saturday morning, but no one was hurt and the person who initiated the gunfire escaped.
The disturbance occurred at the rear of 4613 Refugee Road at about 4 a.m. Saturday.
According to a report from police, officers were called when nearby resident reported hearing several "shotgun blasts."
While searching the area, officers confronted a male with a shotgun and fired shots at him.
The man fled the scene and could not be located.
No officers were injured and it did not appear the fleeing person was hurt either.
