Columbus fire's bomb squad responded, a road was closed and businesses were evacuated after a worker found a suspicious container in a West Side cemetery Friday.

The incident began at the Camp Chase Confederate Cemetery at 2900 Sullivant Ave. at about 12:30 p.m.
Officers on the scene told NBC 4 a worker digging a trench for a new electrical line in the cemetery came across a coffee can.
The suspicious container was buried in the cemetery ground and had threats written on it. Initial reports indicated the threat said, "Opening could cause death."
The electrician alerted church and cemetery workers, and authorities were called to the scene.
Authorities closed Sullivant Avenue at Hague Avenue and evacuated some nearby businesses and homes while they investigate.
An on-the-scene police sergeant said it looked like the can may be filled with concrete.
The bomb squad shot the container with a projectile to determine its contents.
The container was determined to be nonsuspicious.
The road reopened at about 2:45 p.m.
