COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Authorities are searching for the person who robbed a bank Monday afternoon.
According to the FBI, a man wearing a dark mask and brandishing a silver-colored revolver entered the Cooper State Bank at 3245 N. High St. shortly before 1 p.m. Monday.
Investigators said the man told employees in a loud voice that he was robbing the bank and wanted money.
The suspect jumped over the counter and ordered tellers to place money into a plastic bag he had brought with him.
While the tellers were complying, the FBI said, the suspect yelled for the other employees to get down on the floor.
Once the tellers had placed money in the bag, the suspect took the bag and fled the bank.
The suspect is described as a male of unknown race (light-skinned black male or a dark-skinned white male), in his 20s or 30s, approximately 6 feet tall, with a thin build. He has dark eyes and dark, bushy eyebrows.
He was wearing blue jeans, dark gloves and a dark hooded sweatshirt with a dark cloth over the lower portion of his face.
Investigators said they believe the suspect may be the same person who robbed a Cooper State Bank on W. Fifth Avenue in Columbus in April 2009 in a similar manner.
