Clintonville Zoning Approves Turkey Hill Recommendations

»  Comments | Post a Comment

CLINTONVILLE, Ohio -- Several Central Ohio communities have said No, thank you to Turkey Hill convenience stations, including Clintonville.

NBC 4 Photojournalist Steve Wainfor reported with an update.

The proposed Turkey Hill gas station would be built at 5271 N. High St.

Turkey Hill, a subsidiary of Kroger, wants to build a 12-pump gas station and convenience store on High Street at Westview Avenue.

Beechwold-area homeowners are fighting the zoning.

Residents have several concerns, including the burden the gas station and grocery could have on traffic and side streets.

The Clintonville variance and zoning committee listened to Turkey Hill's recommendations Tuesday night, including a barrier that would hide most of the station from the neighborhood's view.

The zoning committee voted to approve several recommendations from Turkey Hill Tuesday night.

The issue was passed to the Clintonville Area Commission for its vote on rezoning the lot.
