Air Force Charges Veteran With Harassment

»  Comments | Post a Comment

DAYTON, Ohio -- The Air Force accuses a chief master sergeant in Ohio of sexual harassment involving 10 female airmen.

The charges against William Gurney released recently include allegations of extramarital relations, inappropriate touching, and sending sexually oriented text messages. Officials are deciding how to proceed.

The Air Force could have a court-martial proceeding, pursue administrative punishments, or drop the case against the 27-year veteran.

Gurney was removed in November as the top enlisted man at the Air Force Materiel Command headquarters at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base near Dayton. He was assigned to a desk job.

All the women involved had lower Air Force ranks.

A message seeking comment was left Thursday for Gurney's Air Force lawyer.
